Hey! My name is Anita. I am a German typeface designer who creates retail fonts everyone can buy. I did many things before finding my ultimate passion for curves and corners. I was trained as a forwarding merchant and then as a media designer. I designed magazines and corporate identities and worked in software marketing and advertising. Whenever I think of my working life, I remember being pushed on to do something else, but I never knew what that thing might be. Then I decided to go back to university to study graphic design and fell in love with alphabets on a trip to Korea. Back at home I created my Latin-Korean graduation project “Hangulatin” which was awarded by the Art Directors Club in Germany. After that, I worked five years for an established type foundry and now I’m there for you – all day in the creation of retail fonts and finally coming home.
Black color, curves and corners. Is that all you are doing?
Sounds romantic, huh? But no. In private I have many different interests. I was a passionate Taekwondo fighter for several years. I love sports like mountain biking, swimming, hiking and I am always keen to try new things. Squash, Lazertag, GoKart, traveling and rock music are just some of them. And last but not least there is my wonderful family which gives me unimaginable highlights.
